The purpose of this study is to explore how the core competencies of psychotherapists are acquired in the European training programs for Gestalt Therapy. The questionnaire is a tool for self-assessing the core competencies, meaning those competencies common to all psychotherapy modalities. It doesn’t address the specific competencies of a Gestalt therapist.
The study is part of the wider movement and dialogue among modalities towards the development of competencies in psychotherapy.
It is addressed to all the trainees enrolled in a training program of Gestalt Therapy in the Countries that are part of the EAGT. It is addressed to Gestalt therapists too in order to have a study control group.
